Why are you getting Binding changes and what does this field mean?
Bindwise is tracking over 100 fields or attributes in your Product Pages. One of the field values we track by default is Product Binding. "Binding" attribute is a mandatory attribute or product field to be filled out when creating a Book listing. This field does not exist in other product types. However, if you are experiencing a high volume of alerts that warn you about Binding field change for products other than books here is a short explanation of why this may occur.
As mentioned, the only way this field is available in a product page template is if you are creating a Book Product Page otherwise, the field is not available. But sometimes due to Amazon's internal error and allowing batch Product Pages imports from other eCommerce platforms such as eBay or by using batch importers to Seller Central, this field is populated by error for other product types usually instead of Category attribute. To you, it's usually not visible in Seller Central as this attribute is visible only for book products.
If there are a lot of unwelcome alerts you are receiving of this kind, what we can do from our end is exclude them for you backend. Just contact us at support @ bindwise.com
This shouldn't affect your Product Page front end, but if you'd like to have this issue resolved completely, you would need to contact Amazon's support and advise them of the error for the products you are receiving this alert for.
